- How do I measure the exposure of my ad?
-
A banner ad's exposure is measured by the number of times it is downloaded or displayed onto a user's computer also called impressions.
- How do I get billed? What is CPM?
-
CPM means cost per 1,000 impressions.
Banner ad campaigns are charged based on the number of impressions bought. For example, a 200,000-impression buy will cost $1,400, per our regular rate of $7 cpm for run-of-site campaigns ($7 x 200). A 200,000 impression campaign is good for a one month campaign on our site, but you may choose to increase the amount of exposure you have on INQUIRER.net by increasing the number of impressions you purchase for your campaign.
In the case of button ads, Inquirer Alert ads, Job Alert text ads andInquirer Mobile ads, you will be billed by the number of months you book a particular ad spot.
For podcast audio ads, you will be billed by the number of 15 second adspots you purchase.
- How can I track the exposure of my ad on INQUIRER.net?
-
Our banner ad clients are provided with a username and password to access our online ad management system reports called Open AdStream. They can access their campaign reports 24/7 via the internet and a report is also sent to their email address once a week by our system.
- How long will my ad run?
-
This will depend on the type of campaign and the number of impressions you purchase. You may opt to distribute your ad impressions over a specified number of days, with a maximum duration of one month.
- What is the minimum purchase?
-
This depends on your chosen campaign:
Banner advertising may be purchased in blocks of 50,000 impressions. Ads will be rotated depending on the blocks sold, their distribution over time and the total impressions delivered by a certain page.
Button ads must have at least a one month booking on our site.
Mobile ads have a minimum of one month ad placement.
Inquirer Alert and Job Alert ads will be sold based on the current number of subscribers. A campaign must run for a minimum of one week.
Podcast audio ads have a minimum buy of five (5) 15-second audio ads.
- How do we pay for our campaign?
-
For advertisers in the Philippines, you may pay for your campaign by check payment payable to INQUIRER.net, Inc. or by bank deposit to our Philippine Peso account.
For advertisers outside the Philippines, you may pay via bank deposit to our US Dollar account or credit card through Paypal.
- How long is the lead time needed for our campaign to begin?
-
Once you have provided INQUIRER.net with your banner or button ad material, we shall need three (3) days to test it on our system. Once we have ascertained that there are no problems with your ad material, and it is within specifications, we will then upload your material into our system and start your campaign.
- Do people actually look at online ads?
-
According to research conducted by AC Nielsen-Consult on the Philippine internet user, at least 54% of our readers pay attention to online ads and at least 13% of them have clicked on an ad at least once a month (AC Nielsen/Consult 1H/2000).
There are many creative ways to capture the attention of the internet user whether by the kind of campaign we conduct or by the kind of ad material we use, call INQUIRER.net and allow us to explain to you how.

This is the number of times an ad is clicked; when a user clicks on an ad that is linked to another page and that page downloads on the user's browser.
- What do you mean by Run of Site?
-
